David Beckham was sent off in the 1998 World Cup for kicking Diego Simeone after being fouled by the Argentinean player. While Simeone later admitted to having tactically overplayed the kick to earn Beckham a red card, and Beckham was lying on the ground when it happened, it’s still not a particularly classy thing to do, and some would argue that it lost England the Cup that year.

But have you seen David Beckham lately? He’s one classy guy. Looks great in a suit, plus he’s become one awesome ambassador for England and the Beautiful Game. He’s grown up, and has earned a lot of respect for it.
Seems that Beckham learned from his ‘98 mistake, and has done all the better for it. It’s alright to make mistakes, since pobody’s nerfect. If acknowledge that you made a mistake, and you learn from it, then that’s pretty much the best you, or David Beckham, can do. As a dad, and as a man, you will have lapses in judgement that might lead to small (or large) problems. But learning from them is always the first step to making things right.
