Forget about going to the gym, cancel that nip/tuck, and start hitting the pies – because ugly men are about to become popular with women seeking men to father their children.
According to new research, ugly men are far more likely to produce healthy babies than attractive men. The discovery was made by scientists observing the mating habits of female zebra finches – they noticed that when the monogamous birds were paired with the least attractive males, they laid larger eggs with more orange yolks. Admittedly they’d only tend to pair with less attractive males when desperate, but once pregnant, the females would invest more resources and testosterone into the reproduction, resulting in these healthier eggs.
