Bear Grylls has survived the sort of conditions that would make most men wet themselves. He's survived a faulty parachute (falling 16,000ft and breaking three vertebrae), the Foreign Legion and climbing Everest (his boyhood dream).
On his Channel 4 show Born Survivor (Shown on the Discovery Channel in the US as Man Vs. Wild) he's been dropped into some of the most inhospitable places on Earth and eaten some of the most inedible creatures (How does a skunk, scorpion and yak liver breakfast sound?).
On top of all that, he also has two beautiful boys, Jesse and Marmaduke with his wife Shara. He's found being a Dad almost as hard as some of his more stressful feats - check out our interview with him here.
His experiences of survival have been collected into several books, and we've got signed copies of two of them to give away.
Born Survivor features tips from Bear on how to survive under extreme conditions.
Gold Of The Gods is bears first work of Children's fiction which also features some great survival tips (apparently, fish eyes are a good source of water - as long as you don't mind sucking it out!) It's a great book to read to your kids and we made it our book of the month when we reviewed it recently.
