Dads Dash 2009!

Dads Dash 2009 Bernardo's Bernardos Hyde Park

Are you a dashing dad?

Fancy getting a jog round Hyde Park, London, on the 22nd February? Oh go on, it's for a good cause. Dads Dash 2009 has been organised by Barnardo's, one of the UK's leading children's charities. It was orginally scheduled to take place on Sunday 8th February, but was pushed back two weeks due to poor weather conditions. But the postponement has meant that registrations have re-opened until the 21st, so there's still time to get involved!

This 5km family fun run in celebration of fatherhood, is great for first time fundraisers and runners, as well as those looking to get fit at the start of a new year. Everyone's welcome to take part (not just dads) and all runners get a fantastic headband for the race and are rewarded with a DadsDash medal!

Their fantastic new route will take you round the Serpentine and through the beautiful pathways of one of the most famous Royal Parks.

Tim Lovejoy, of BBC2's 'Something for the Weekend'

"Barnardo's Dads Dash is all about the family getting involved in fitness, fundraising and most importantly spending time together. So sign up for the challenge now, get training and fill in a sponsorship form!"
