Hollywood star Ben Affleck faced one of his toughest acting roles yet this week - as he tried not to look worried while taking his two-year old daughter Violet for her first day of Pre-School. Ben is clearly an involved parent, but we hope his recent work isn't making him extra nervous - his last project was directing the thriller gone, Baby, Gone, which focussed around a child kidnapping. The actor and his wife, actress Jennifer Garner, 35, both attended, and apparently the day went well, with Violet leaving happy and, of course, covered in paint.
Many parents, whether celebrities or not, find the transition to nursery difficult - after a year or more of looking after a child it can be really hard to let someone else take over, even if only for a few hours. Many parents (ourselves included) can also feel tremendously guilty, but it's important to remember that nurseries and pre-schools provide a great social education for kids as they get used to interacting with other children.
