KIDS BOOK REVIEW: My Brother

My Brother
My Brother Info

Publisher's description:
My brother is really cool. He's a super skateboarder and he's got massive muscles. He can run so fast that...he can fly! Yes, my brother is really cool. This book is a humorous, affectionate tribute to brothers, perfect for adults and children everywhere. It is a brilliant follow-up to the best-selling "My Dad" and "My Mum".

Dads Space Review by Tim Auvache:
Anthony Browne’s picture books are fantastic; the illustrations speak for themselves, they’re really detailed without being over the top. His latest shows the titular brother in a variety of cool poses; everything he does is amazing, from whistling to standing up to bullies. Yes, instead of the typical cartoon sibling rivalry you usually get in these books, ‘My Brother’ is a celebration of the older sibling, which makes a nice change. It’s funny too, pitched at a level of humour which kids should love. While it looks great, the text is pretty straightforward, so not much for there for Dads to enjoy aside from the art. It’s good one for kids to read to each other though.
