45 minutes after we had first started, the pistons, chassis, roll bars, body panels, lights and axles were all in place. The last thing to do was put the wheels on. My moment of glory had finally arrived. Then, like a moth meandering around a dimly lit flickering light that had suddenly stopped intermittent flashing and switched to full power, illuminating the whole room, my son darted in prizing the wheels out of my fingers and fitted them. I mean come on! I’d done all the hard work, with him just doing the fun parts like fitting the lights, heads on the pistons and body panels - to then have the glory of putting the wheels on, stolen from me at the last minute… I was livid.
I’m joking of course, but to all those dads who want a Lego set that is fun, challenging, and provides your child with a sophisticated toy, this set is a must.
