Dads Space Review by Tim Auvache:

Another in the range of Usborne’s That’s Not My….. touchy feely books. It’s a familiar format - each page has a patch of material, plastic or sandpaper which kids can rub, and touch. Nothing special perhaps but amusing for the child. That’s Not My Truck is bright and fun, blocky primary coloured images, with lots to see in the backgrounds, fantastic for a child’s first book.

The hard, board-book pages make it easy for little hands to turn to the next truck to have a poke and prod. There’s lots of learning potential with this series; colours, shapes, textures, contrasts, plus a few descriptive words like squidgy and zig-zaggy. It’s not too long either so you might not mind repeat reads so much, plus you won’t be able to resist the odd squeeze yourself!
