The Knife That Killed Me

Anthony McGowan

With teenage knife crime such a hot topic in the press at the moment, perhaps it's no surprise that Anthony McGowan's latest novel, The Knife That Killed me has been nominated for a prestigious award - The Booktrust Teenage prize. The prize was launched in 2003 to recognise and celebrate contemporary fiction written for teenagers. The Knife That Killed Me details the horrific consequences of peer pressure and violence as protagonist Paul Varderman is drawn in to a gang war with tragic consequences.

Dads Space talked to Anthony McGowan recently to find out a bit more about his thoughts on teenage knife crime and fatherhood. You can watch the interview here!
