As pop music mania sweeps the nation once more, Tamafans can become the next Cheryl Cole by raising their very own pop star. As your Tamagotchi Music Star's mentor, you have up to 20 musical instruments and six different music genres for them to master, as your Tama grows into adulthood you must prepare them to join bands, perform in front of judges and put on live shows! They can even play games and fall in love with other Tamagotchi Music Stars using the poptastic infra-red function!

We've got 10 of these awesome hi-tech doohickeys to give away, but in order to win one, we want you to come up with something a bit special - your perfect musical instrument.

How to enter

We want you and your kids to design the perfect musical instrument, and send us a picture. It can either be a photograph of a model, a scan of a drawing, or a picture you've created in a computer art program. It can be an unusual shape, have strange attachments, or just be unusually big! Let your imagination run riot - we want to see drum kits with wings, harmonicas that blow rainbows, and guitars shaped like elephants.

Remember though, it's not about technical skill, but about ideas, so a crayon drawing has just as much chance of winning as a professionally-crafted model. We'll also print a gallery of our favourites after the competition has finished, so you can see what other people got up to! Once you've got your picture (preferably in JPEG format and under 2MB in size), use the form below to upload it. If you feel the need to add an explanation, you can also use the decription box below to tell us about your inventive instrument in 100 words or less.
